The Covid Commissions

The Covid Commissions were launched in July 2020 following six weeks of national ‘lockdown’ during the Covid-19 pandemic. In response to the challenges faced by living and working in isolation and without physical access to the networks we rely on, Ryde Arts asked artists to consider the concept of collaborative working during this time. Six artists from different disciplines worked in pairs on three research and development projects, each taking a unique approach. The commissions were created with the intention that each participating artist would be able to further their own creative practice without the expectation of a fixed outcome. 

The Covid Commissions have been created by Ryde Arts and funded by Arts Council England.
