Grow
Grow Ryde was a two year celebration of growing, both practically and metaphorically. The Arts Council England funded project engaged lead artist Jo Hummel-Newell. Jo worked alongside a wide range of local cultural and community groups to explore, produce and exhibit new work. Throughout the project, Jo undertook an eighteen month residency at Quarry Road allotments and produced a body of new work that questioned global issues such as social integration and circular economies. Grow culminated with Iām In The Garden, an exhibition of works curated by Jo and also involving artists Adam Gillam, Hermione Allsopp and Laura Hathaway.
