Spirit of the Place is go!

This year’s project continues our celebration of the people and places at the heart of Ryde. This year, Spirit of the Place will focus on our streets, using the memories and stories of shopkeepers and shoppers, publicans and pub-goers as raw material for a new devised piece of theatre. At the end of last year, Sandy and Lucy from Sassy Productions, linked up with the young members of Network Ryde to teach them how to make recorded interviews of their families and friends. Further interviews were undertaken in shops, pubs and in the streets to create a bank of memories that spans the High Street, Union Street and down to the seafront.
