Second Window Residency at Department

Ryde Arts is excited to welcome back #WARA artist Laura Hathaway as their second resident of 2022.

Laura will be taking over the window studio space at Department for the month of April.

Laura's practice explores the visual language of marks and the properties and absorbency of pigments and oils against surfaces. Laura's work focuses in on the effects of layering, opacities and manipulation.

At the heart of this creative exploration is her interest and intuitive pull towards experimental process with the aim of challenging her own and others traditional ideas of painting and printmaking.

Laura is currently based at Riboleau Studios in Ryde.
